MARQUIS JET SALUTES GRAEME MCDOWELL ON HIS U.S. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
First European To Win The U.S. Open in 40 Years
Kenny Dichter, Founder and CEO of Marquis Jet, was one of the first to call and personally congratulate Graeme McDowell on his stellar accomplishment at the United States Open Championship at Pebble Beach this past Sunday, June 20th. The U.S. Open was Mr. McDowell’s first major title, and he won it by a single shot.
“It is a wonderful compliment to us that Graeme McDowell sported the Marquis Jet logo when he made history at the U.S. Open Championship, and I am confident that this will be the first of several major titles that Graeme will earn in the years to come,” said Mr. Dichter.
All within a day of the trophy ceremony, Mr. McDowell was invited to be a guest on NBC Universal’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and to film a cameo on HBO’s hit television series, Entourage. It was a journey almost as arduous as his road to the U.S. Open Championship. Said Mr. McDowell, “Ever since I joined the Marquis Jet family, my Marquis Jet Card has become a critical component in helping me manage my hectic travel schedule as a professional golfer.”
“After Graeme won the U.S. Open, Kenny Dichter and I discussed having Graeme appear on Entourage,” said Doug Ellin, Creator and Executive Producer of Entourage, “and less than 24 hours later Graeme was on set and being congratulated by Ari Gold. No other way this happens without Marquis Jet.” Regarding being a guest on Entourage, Mr. McDowell said, “I don’t know what’s cooler…two putts from 20 feet to win the U.S. Open or my appearance on Entourage 24 hours after winning!”
